Let us pass on some supportive words to help you on your way.<\/p>\n

If no bubbles are appearing, try moving to a warmer location. you should see activity within a few days<\/p>\n

Keep the lid ajar to let gas escape. Open and check for surface moulds; if these occur, it is safe to remove them with a clean spoon and continue the fermentation. If mould is on the vegetable itself, remove the top centimetre or so to make sure flavour has not been contaminated underneath<\/p>\n

White surface yeast is normal. Kahm yeast is a white fluffy film on the top and can be skimmed off.
